Project Description

Inspired from my own experiences of pandemic-induced social anxiety, I interviewed a therapist for tips in navigating anxiety in our reopened, "Post-Covid" state of the world to write a piece for District Fray Magazine. I used an anecdotal lede about attending my first live music experience since 2019, and transitioned into the practical coping mechanisms I learned from my interview.

To accompany my article, I illustrated a Venus flytrap surrounding by buzzing flies that have taken the form of everyday text messages that may trigger someone's anxiety. The idea is that our fearful minds feed on the overwhelm of social invitations.
